ER Visit
Alright so yesterday afternoon started out pretty normal. The builder gave us permission to paint so hubby, mom, and I went over to start taping up the house. We were doing pretty well. Taped up the master bed, bath, family room, and kitchen when hubby and I decided then would be a good time to do a little horseplay. Let me just say there is a reason that only children do this activity. Although after this experience I don't believe that kiddo will be allowed to do it for awhile. Needless to say I was not in anyway expecting what happened. Basically I kicked at hubby which caused him to grab my foot. Then he proceeded to knock my other leg out from under me thinking that I knew how to fall in this play situation. I didn't :( It was weird I was falling and hoping it wouldn't be as bad as I thought. It was. On the way down my shoulder slammed into my jaw and then the back of my head hit the floor hard. I have never felt so much pain. My head, shoulder, and chest felt like they were on fire. I just laid there on the floor mostly because I was afraid to move. My mom was so scared because while I was falling you could here snapping noises and she thought at first that I broke my neck. After a few minutes I sat up but I realized my vision was blurry in spots. So we headed for the ER. I have to say Harris HEB is the best hospital. They rushed me right back and within 15 minutes of being there I was have a CT scan done on my head. Anyway after an hour and a half my vision returned to normal and my mental function returned to it's normal speed. So it is off to paint the house this morning of course with help from the vicadin I am about to take because I hurt so much.... The moral of this story don't try to do kid activities as a grown up.
